Portable Animal Shelters

Essentially, all types of buildings can be designed as a portable storage shed, and this even includes shelters for animals. Both large and small animals can have shelters outside with these buildings. Specific shelters are designed for dogs as dog kennels and also for livestock. The latter, usually, referred to as a portable run-in shed for horses, can be used for various outdoor animals needing shelter during the day. Although these shelters are of different sizes and for different animals, each has the same type of composition as any portable building, with a steel frame and a polyethylene canopy to keep the animals shaded and dry.

The larger shelter, the run-in shed, can be used for any livestock during the day, such as horses and cattle. The shed is a rounded roof or peaked roof shelter that is usually just as wide as it is long. During the day, horses or other livestock can run in and out of it and, in the evening, they can be kept inside the shed by adding gates to the front and back of the shed. As the size of your livestock can vary, CanopyHut carries both smaller sheds for one or two horses and larger sheds for more animals.

Portable dog kennels are on a much smaller scale than a typical portable building, but they have many of the same structural qualities, with gates added to all sides to keep the dogs in. One of these structures has a peaked polyethylene canopy for a roof that protects the dogs while outside. Inside the steel frame, you can add dividers if you’re planning to have multiple dogs outdoors in a kennel. For feeding, all types of portable dog kennels have a door for you to put in dishes of food and water for the dogs.
